Feeding |
We prefer that dogs remain on their customary diet. However, we offer Canidae Lamb & Rice kibble or another high quality lamb and rice kibble and either Pedigree or Alpo canned food. Either feeding option is available at no extra charge. If you prefer to bring your dog’s customary diet, please label your food with your dog’s name, the name of the kibble (if you do not provide the original bag), the amount per feeding (GTC feeds all dogs twice a day) and any special instructions; i.e., mix the food with warm water, add supplements, etc. |
Medications
We will administer your dog’s medicine as necessary at no additional charge. Please clearly label any medicine with your dog’s name, the name of your veterinarian, the dosage given, and how many times a day the medicine is to be given. |
Vaccinations
To ensure the health of all our boarders, we require proof from your veterinarian that your dog(s) is current on the following vaccinations:
- Rabies
- DHLPP
- Kennel Cough
Health
Dogs must be in good health; our boarding contract requires client certification that their dog(s) has not been exposed to rabies, distemper, kennel cough or as been ill within the past 30 days in order to board at our facility.
Note: We do not board bitches in heat. |
Behavior
We do not accept any dog that is aggressive towards people. With the owner’s permission, at the discretion of GTC, we will allow friendly, well-socialized dogs to play together in large, fenced, grass areas (weather permitting). |
Miscellaneous
Dogs boarded at GTC must have a flat, buckle-style collar or harness with a current rabies tag.
Dogs may not be left with choke chains as collars. |
